About Simply Focused Therapy

I am based close to the town of Melton Mowbray and offer both online video/telephone appointments across the UK in addition to face to face sessions at a local wellness centre nearby.

I have been involved in mental health in various capacities, starting out as a mental health nurse in 1994. I currently work as a CBT therapist and Solution Focused Hypnotherapist. My experience in the field of mental health enables me to offer individualised treatment. In my practice, everyone is seen as unique and the common problem of “one size fits all” does not apply.

In 2025, I decided to branch out in terms of the therapies I am able to offer, and have been training in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (concluding in May 2026).

I was a little sceptical at first, but underwent the therapy myself to see how it felt “from the other side.” I was pleasantly surprised! After experiencing, it my sleep has improved, I notice more positives in life, and I cope much better with stress in what can sometimes be a challenging role. My own experiences have led me to be able to offer it to my clients in the total belief that it can make a positive difference to their lives.

With Simply Focused Therapy you can work towards achieving your goals in a safe and confidential environment. The first 20 minute consultation is free and can enable me to understand your needs or, if necessary, recommend another service should this be indicated.

I want you to have the best therapeutic experience possible, and will therefore work toward achieving your goals by establishing a safe, trustworthy therapeutic relationship within which you can work to attain them. I will do this by listening to what you have to say about your situation, as you are the expert on where you want to be, and what you are like, at your best. My goal, is to give you the tools to help you to grow and teach you the skills and strategies which go along with this.
